HOW DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR NAME? My hometown of Carlinville, Illinois, is the first "Bee City" in the state, a designation it received in 2019. The city's volunteer-led initiatives include education, reducing pesticide use, and planting native, pollinator-friendly gardens throughout the community. WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE? I use a mix of metals, beads, natural materials, polymer clay, and other artisan components. Many ear wires and posts are hypoallergenic, but if you have sensitivities, feel free to message me about specifics. ARE YOUR EARRINGS SAFE FOR SENSITIVE EARS? Mostly yes, but refer to detailed description of a particular piece for specific information. Most earrings are made with solid brass or plated silver ear wires. If made with a mixed metal alloy, it will be noted. Please note that base metal can be coated with clear nail polish to minimize reactions to metals, such as copper. HOW DO I CARE FOR YOUR JEWELRY A soft cloth is usually all you need to keep your jewelry shining. Store pieces in a dry place and avoid moisture, perfumes, and lotions for best longevity. I do have a jewelry care section with links to products, if you are interested. MAY I ASK FOR CUSTOM WORK? You may. If you see something you like but want a tweak—like a different color, length, or ear wire—send me a message. I also can make jewelry to match outfits, or themes, like I do for myself. Most earrings can be converted to a contemporary clip-on, for those without pierced ears. I have supplies on hand. Please contact me and we can talk. DO YOU SHIP OVERSEES? I ship anywhere in the continental U.S. via USPS. Please refer to my shipping policies on Etsy. WHEN WILL i RECEIVE MY ORDER? Orders are usually mailed within 2 days of receiving payment. USPS delivery times vary based on your location, but most packages arrive within 3–5 business days after mailing. The post office picks up from my home. you will receive a tracking number to know specifically when you can expect it to arrive. DO YOU OFFER LOCAL PICK-UP OR DELIVERY? Yes! Local customers may communicate with me via email, or through Etsy message before purchase to arrange it. WHAT IS YOUR RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY? Because these are handmade items, I don’t typically accept returns, but I want you to love your jewelry. If there’s ever a problem with what you've purchased please reach out to me within 7 days to arrange a return. Orders may be cancelled if done so within 24 hours. I take care to pack each order as though I’m sending a gift to a friend. Most pieces are ready to ship within a day or two, and I use USPS Ground Advantage for safe delivery..
